Ustekinumab Starts With a One-Time Intravenous Infusion
(Through a Vein in the Arm) Followed by Subcutaneous

Start With an IV Infusion
ONE TIME
Ustekinumab treatment starts with a one-time IV infusion through a vein in your arm, administered in a healthcare facility by a healthcare provider. The amount of medicine you’ll receive is based on your body weight, and it will take at least 1 hour to receive the full dose.
Keep Going With Maintenance Injections
EVERY 8 WEEKS
After the initial IV infusion, you’ll receive Ustekinumab as an injection under the skin—a subcutaneous injection—every 8 weeks.
Ustekinumab is intended for use under the guidance and supervision of your healthcare provider. If your healthcare provider decides that you or a caregiver may give your injections at home, you should receive training on the right way to prepare and inject Ustekinumab.

Adults and pediatric patients 6 years and older will receive a total of 6 weight-based doses of Ustekinumab in the first year:
Ustekinumab is given as an injection under the skin (subcutaneous injection) as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Use Ustekinumab exactly as your healthcare provider tells you to.
Ustekinumab is intended for use under the guidance and supervision of your healthcare provider. In children 6 years and older, it is recommended that Ustekinumab be administered by a healthcare provider. Your healthcare provider will determine the right dose of Ustekinumab for you, the amount for each injection, and how often you should receive it.
If your healthcare provider decides that you or a caregiver can give your injections at home, you should receive training on the right way to prepare and inject Ustekinumab.
