An "unbranded biologic" as defined by the FDA is an approved biological product that is marketed under an approved biologics license application without its brand or "proprietary" name on it. An unbranded biologic is available in the same strengths, dosage forms, routes of administration, and presentations as the brand-name biological product, and is considered to be equivalent to the brand-name biological product.
